"Stand on the shoulders of giants."
My journey into the world of education and language began in the beautiful city of Dalat, Vietnam, where I pursued my Bachelor's degree in English Linguistics at Dalat University. In 2014, I graduated as the top student in my class, marking a deep commitment to education.
After my undergraduate studies, I ventured abroad to Taipei, Taiwan, where I completed my Master's degree in TESOL. Living in a different culture expanded my perspectives on language learning and deepened my passion for teaching.
In 2019, I moved to Melbourne, Australia, to pursue a PhD at Monash University, focusing on educational psychology, language education, and technology. My research explores the role of emotions and individual differences in language teaching and learning, as well as the educational potential of emerging technologies like generative AI.
Through my research and teaching, I aim to empower students and educators with social-emotional qualities and agency to create more effective and inclusive learning environments. Education is about understanding the unique experiences, emotions, and strengths each individual brings to learning.
