Part 1 (Introduction)

1. How would you describe your style of clothing?
"I would describe my style as casual and comfortable. I usually wear simple outfits like jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers. I prefer clothes that are easy to wear and make me feel relaxed, rather than following strict fashion trends."

2. Do you think fashion is important?
"Yes, to some extent, fashion is important as it allows people to express themselves and their personality. However, I think it’s also important to wear what you feel comfortable in rather than just following trends."

3. Where do you usually buy your clothes?
"I typically buy my clothes from online stores because of the variety and convenience they offer. Sometimes, I shop at local boutiques when I’m looking for something more unique, or when I want to try things on before buying."

4. Have you ever bought clothes that you didn’t wear?
"Yes, many times. There have been occasions when I bought clothes that seemed appealing at the time but later realized they didn’t suit my style or were uncomfortable to wear. Those items usually end up staying in my closet."

5. What kind of clothes do you dislike?
"I dislike clothes that are overly tight or made from uncomfortable fabrics. I prefer to wear something that allows me to move freely and doesn’t require much effort to maintain."

Part 2 (Long Turn)

Describe your favorite piece of clothing. You should say:

  • What it is
  • When you got it
  • Where you usually wear it And explain why it is your favorite.

Response:

"My favorite piece of clothing is a denim jacket that I’ve owned for a couple of years. I bought it from a small boutique during a trip to a coastal city. It's light blue, slightly faded, and fits perfectly, giving a casual yet stylish look to any outfit.

I usually wear this jacket during the spring and autumn seasons when the weather is mild. It pairs well with almost anything — jeans, dresses, t-shirts — and adds a cool touch to whatever I’m wearing.

The reason it’s my favorite is that it’s very versatile and has a sentimental value because I got it during a memorable trip. It’s a timeless piece that never goes out of style, and it makes me feel confident and comfortable whenever I wear it."

Part 3 (Discussion)

1. How has fashion changed in your country over the years?
"Fashion in my country has changed dramatically. In the past, people wore more traditional attire, but now, there is a mix of traditional and Western influences. Casual wear has become more common, especially among younger people, and fashion trends are influenced by globalization and social media. Nowadays, people have more access to international brands, and fashion is constantly evolving."

2. Do you think fashion is different for men and women?
"Yes, fashion is often different for men and women, though the gap is narrowing. Historically, women's fashion has been more elaborate, with a focus on accessories and a wider variety of styles. Men’s fashion has traditionally been simpler, but in recent years, there has been a shift with more emphasis on men’s style, grooming, and a broader range of clothing options."

3. Is it important to be fashionable at work?
"Yes, being fashionable or well-dressed at work can be important, depending on the work environment. In corporate settings, a professional appearance can create a positive impression and show that you take your role seriously. However, in creative industries, fashion can be a way to express individuality. In the end, I think dressing appropriately for the occasion and workplace culture is what matters most."
