Privacy Policy — MultiFind

The short version: MultiFind collects no data about you, your browsing, or the pages you visit. Everything happens locally in your browser. Nothing is ever sent anywhere.

Overview

MultiFind is a Chrome extension that highlights multiple search keywords simultaneously on the current webpage. It operates entirely within your browser and has no backend, no server, and no external connections of any kind.

Data collection

MultiFind does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data or user information. This includes but is not limited to: browsing history, page content, search terms, keystrokes, identity, or device information.

Keywords you enter are held temporarily in Chrome's session storage on your local device only, and are automatically cleared when the browser session ends. They never leave your device.

Permissions used

activeTab Accesses the current tab's DOM to scan and highlight matching keywords. Only active when you open the extension.

scripting Injects the highlighting script into the active page at runtime. No scripts are loaded from external sources.

storage Saves your keyword list and search options locally within the current session only. Cleared on browser close.

Third parties

MultiFind uses no third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs. No data is shared with any third party for any purpose.

Remote code

MultiFind does not fetch or execute any remote code. All extension logic is bundled locally within the installed package.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the revised version will be published at this URL with an updated date. Given the nature of this extension, no material changes are anticipated.
